Job Overview

My client in Welwyn Garden City are seeking a Business Development Manager with extensive experience selling Nutritional Ingredients to Manufacturers, Distributors and Retailers. You will bring with you an aptitude and understanding for the Nutritional Industry and a keen eye for the UK Market. The role encompasses both Field Sales, Business Development, Account Management and Tendering against a quarterly target.

 

Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Welwyn Garden City (Field Based)
Salary: £35,000 - £55,000 + OTE
Contract: Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 – 5:00

 

Job Duties:

  • Outbound prospecting to new clients within the UK territory to sell Nutritional Ingredients
  • Booking appointments to meet with new clients and closing business
  • Account managing existing clients and ensuring clients are spending throughout the year
  • Reporting on sales/ reduction in sales rates to ensure the UK market is growing effectively
  • Travelling to clients to conduct service reviews and up sell additional products

 

Person Specification:

  • Experience selling nutritional ingredients is essential for this role
  • Able to travel extensively where possible
  • Business Development experience at a senior level
